Updates from the SAD team

StupidApps Reborn

StupidApps has undergone a complete redesign and moved to a new home. The site has been rebuilt from the ground up with a modern dark theme, and our legacy VB6 apps now have proper showcase pages with their original video demos and documentation preserved.

More importantly, new stupid apps are in development and will be available on modern platforms including the web and iOS. The SAD team is back and ready to solve problems you didn't know you had. Stay tuned.

StupidApps Facelift

StupidApps finally gets a facelift after 13 years of neglect. All content has been migrated and our SAD team has produced video demonstrations of every legacy app so you can experience them without needing the VB6 runtime installed.

The applications themselves still work if you can find a system to run them, but the videos are frankly the better experience. Check out each product page for the full demo.

ZDNet Reviews

The following reviews were received by ZDNet back in 2000 when the products were originally launched.

Logon Status Checker

"...this application has no real purpose, and no practical application." — ZDNet

Random Number Generator

"I saw no evidence of random number generation. What I did see was a display that shows a single number, which is incremented by 2. That's a far cry from random..." — ZDNet

Time Viewer

"...the clock at least needs to be functional in order for us to carry it. If you'd like to send us a new version of the program where the clock actually keeps time, we'll be glad to take a look at it." — Ted Tatman, ZDNet Reviewer
